I could talk about shoes for hours on end, so I was very happy when Janine got in touch with us. Here is what we talked about….

To start with, the main reason I began selling made-to-order shoes was the cost – stock is an investment, so buying lots and not being able to sell it is a huge business risk, which made the made-to-order buying model appealing. However, getting to know the shoe manufacturing business for over a year now, and learning about sustainability in the fashion industry, I realised that made to order was the way to go for far more reasons than just keeping overhead costs lower.

Here are some of the main reasons Low Heels produces made-to-order shoes.

Did we see you at our Tall Shopping Day earlier this month at the M Restaurant in London?

We teamed up with Allta Clothing to showcase shoes in larger sizes (created by Low Heels, of course) and clothing from Allta’s range for tall women. Allta’s founder, Emma, and I are very passionate about what we do and believe that all women should be offered a choice – no matter how tall they are and what their shoe size is.

Now that Halloween is over, we can start thinking about Christmas. Our social calendars are filling up: work dos, family gatherings, winter holidays away, New Year’s Eve parties. And that means we need to get our party wardrobes looking fabulous. Whatever the occasion, we all want to look and feel great. 

Last month I took part in “Meet Your Tall Sister Brunch” in London organised by The Tall Society.

I haven’t been to the previous one and despite watching clips on YouTube I didn’t really know what to expect.
