To start with, the main reason I began selling made-to-order shoes was the cost – stock is an investment, so buying lots and not being able to sell it is a huge business risk, which made the made-to-order buying model appealing. However, getting to know the shoe manufacturing business for over a year now, and learning about sustainability in the fashion industry, I realised that made to order was the way to go for far more reasons than just keeping overhead costs lower.

Did we see you at our Tall Shopping Day earlier this month at the M Restaurant in London?

We teamed up with Allta Clothing to showcase shoes in larger sizes (created by Low Heels, of course) and clothing from Allta’s range for tall women. Allta’s founder, Emma, and I are very passionate about what we do and believe that all women should be offered a choice – no matter how tall they are and what their shoe size is.
